In a determined attempt at an (extraordinarily early) mid-life crisis, she began exploring her half-forgotten dreams of being a singer and a writer, and now sings with the fabulous, Bournemouth-based choir, Chicken Soup.
 
Her writing began with late night typing into the note section of her smart phone, resulting in a severe case of RSI and several short stories, but Walking Wounded was her first novel, followed by Beyond Time and Tide.

Some of her short stories were published in two charity compilations in aid of Help for Heroes: When Stars Will Shine, and The Stars Will Shine Again.
